Pi Story is a 2D side-scrolling Massive Multiplayer online role-playing game created by NCONY Enterprise, a Korean company specializing in online game development. It is formerly published in North America by Aeria Games & Entertainment. The game was released in 2008, with its Closed Beta test having been completed on June 2008. Its Open Beta test has opened on July 21st, 2008. During Open Beta, all members of Aeria Games were allowed to play the game, free of charge. As of April 1st, 2009; due to an undisclosed issue with the developer(s) of Pi Story, Aeria Games & Entertainment has removed Pi Story from its website. Servers were shut down and forums were instantly removed, leaving no other online servers of Pi Story worldwide.

In the days where nothing existed in the great abyss, the gods created a giant egg. From the egg came forth a new world filled with humans and a multitude of small spirits and demi- gods which ruled this world. This great egg and the origin of all birth was called ‘Pi.’ Inside the `Pi` existed a world of infinite possibilities. The Human race was protected from the dangers of the outside world, and a seemingly endless peace existed in the air. Many, many years passed. Through birth and rebirth, humans began to grow in size and numbers. Once the world had seemed so large, but now there was not enough room for everyone, or so it seemed. The land was divided into countless territories that arose from the constant bickering and disagreement, and even the demi-gods began to fight amongst themselves for power. This insatiable desire for power ultimately lead to a great battle, and the peace within Pi was no more.

Strong as it was, Pi was no match for all the negativity and violence that it contained, and the egg shattered into many pieces. Its destruction led to a scattering of the human race, and a world of chaos and confusion emerged, a world where even time, space, and dimension were not in harmony. Although the gods regretted their actions, it was too little too late. The great gods could not piece the world back together. They sent forth their apostles Edda and Eddain in search of the one person who could unite the broken pieces of Pi. And so we have found you!

Pi Story is an action-adventure game in which players may travel through instanced dungeons with a party of 8 or less. Outside of dungeons, players can travel to towns where they may find others to party with, buy and sell equipment, as well as do various quests given to him/her by a Non-player character (NPC).

A party in Pi Story is a group of players who come together for a purpose such as completing a quest or defeating monsters for receiving EXP (Experience Points). Depending on how many party members you have (eight at maximum, including yourself), monsters in dungeons become harder to battle with increased HP (Hit Points). Partying adds more in-depth game play, as you can make strategies with your party, as well as help each other complete a certain quest.
