| Detailed description Earth Eternal is a graphical massively multiplayer online role-playing game currently under development by Sparkplay Media. It was first announced on January 10, 2007 and is scheduled to be released sometime in 2009. It will be free to play with additional pay for bonuses. The game will be playable in a browser or via a client download on Windows, but will not be playable on Mac OS at launch. Earth Eternal was announced on January 10, 2007, and was originally developed by Iron Realms Entertainment but it now developed by Sparkplay Media, a sister company of Iron Realms Entertainment. The game was initially scheduled for released in the summer of 2007 but is now scheduled to be released in 2009. The developers released two early map designs in July 2007, neither of which were used as the final map of the game. It was stated that neither map is the one players will be playing on, as some history from the game has yet to be released which is expected to lead to a final map of the game world; as such, the first map is from around chapter 3 of the history and the second map is from around chapter 20 of the history with the subsequent map changes that take place in the history that is still not released As of September 2007, approximately 39 chapters of the history have been released, along with 16 male and female anthropomorphic races.[2] In February 2009, a prequel chapter was released, as well as news that 6 races would be added to the game before launch, bringing the total number of races up to 22.[1] In addition, the classes have been tentatively released. On February 2, 2009, Sparkplay Media released a new website. The new website has improved features and more information than the older website, as well as new videos and information. Additionally, Matt Mihaly has stated that most of the game will not have loading zones, but rather be contiguous for most of the map, except in some far-flung areas of the map and underground areas. The game will have a `soft level cap`, so a player can theoretically gain infinite levels, though as the player progresses, it will take more experience points before they level up, such that eventually it make take years to gain another level. Lastly, there will be no `death penalty` - the Player will not lose items, gold, or experience points when they are killed in-game.
